Awaii is a small passion project from the Netherlands, built around a simple idea: planning a trip should feel easier to start, easier to share, and less complicated to keep together.
Why it exists
Awaii started while planning holidays with my wife. She would do the hard, invisible work of researching places to stay, routes, restaurants, beaches, day trips, and little options that might make the trip better. The problem was that there was nowhere calm to put all of it. Good ideas became loose links in WhatsApp, screenshots in the camera roll, notes in different places, and late nights trying to optimize everything from memory.
We needed one place where both of us could see what was booked, what was only an idea, what route might make sense, and what we still needed to decide. Not a heavy project board. Just an easy shared overview that made the plan visible and helped us agree on it together.
The same thing showed up again on a trip to Texel with seven friends. It was hard to keep track of what had been agreed, who booked what, what was confirmed, and when things were supposed to happen. Everyone just needed one simple view of the trip so the plan did not live in one person's head or disappear into the chat.
Built small on purpose
Awaii is not trying to turn every getaway into a project. It is for saving ideas, routes, bookings, notes, and decisions in one place, so a trip can stay loose while still being easy for everyone to understand.
