About
Trips start messy.
A few places you want to see. A hotel someone found. A restaurant buried in WhatsApp. Screenshots. Booking emails. Someone trying to remember what everyone agreed.
Awaii started while planning trips with my wife.
She would spend hours trying to piece together the best version of a trip — comparing places to stay, routes, restaurants, beaches, travel times and all the little tradeoffs between them.
One option would lead to another. A different hotel might make a different route work. Staying an extra night could open up somewhere else. She would keep turning different versions of the trip over in her head, sometimes until three in the morning.
By the next day, most of that thinking had disappeared.
There might be a few links in WhatsApp, some screenshots and a handful of ideas, but nowhere that actually held the process behind them. Nowhere to lay out different possibilities, compare them, come back to them later, or share that thinking with someone else.
The ideas were good.
There just wasn’t anywhere for them to become a trip.
The same thing happened on a trip to Texel with seven friends. We didn’t need more tools. We just needed one place where everyone could understand the trip — what we were considering, what we had decided, and what was actually happening.
So I built somewhere for the trip to live.
A place to save ideas while things are still uncertain, make decisions together when you need to, and keep the plan clear once the trip takes shape.
Your next trip can start unfinished.
You don’t need to know where you’re going yet.
