Why group chat fails at trip planning
The group chat is doing its job. That is the problem. It records what people said. A trip needs to know what is true now.

WhatsApp, iMessage, and group threads are built to keep talking. Each new message is the newest thing. Older messages become history, even when they were the hotel, the dates, or the “yes I’m in.”
